In the Sacrament of Confirmation, a baptized person's relationship with God is stregthened and they are sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord.
The Sacrament of Confirmation is normally received in 8th grade for children who have been prepared in our Parish School, Religious Education Program (beginning in September) or through Home Schooling. It is scheduled once annually through the Archdiocese, in the Cathedral, typically the following spring or summer.
Adults who have not been confirmed and wish to receive the Sacrament are welcome to join our Fundamentals of Catholocism class. Faith instruction is offered twice yearly for adults, in a twelve week course, offered by Father Robert Altier. For those interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about the Catholic Faith, this course is available without registration or cost.
"Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love."
