Are you interested in becoming a member of a small group within our parish that meets monthly to pray and meditate on the Holy Face of Jesus? Then consider joining us on the second Sunday of each month from 11:00am to 12:30pm in the Saint Ambrose Room at St Augustine (enter through the alley side door and take the elevator to the second floor to gain access to the Saint Ambrose Room).
We hope to see you there! No registration required.
Veneration of the Holy Face of Jesus has its beginning during the very passion of Our Lord, making it one of the oldest devotions in the Christian tradition. This devotion originated with the sacred image of Our Lord that miraculously appeared on St. Veronica's Veil. In addition to Veronica's veil, the Shroud of Turin (believed to be the burial cloth of Christ) is an image associated with the Holy Face devotion.
"I salute Thee, I adore Thee, and I love Thee, O adorable Face of Jesus, my Beloved, noble Seal of the Divinity!"
